I want to be a leader, not a follower.
Whether it be my love for singing, fitness, and all the nerdy stuff in between, I strive to be someone others can look up to.
I’m Jacob Brott, a recent graduate from the University of Minnesota with a B.A. in Communications and a minor in Computer Science. I bring a diverse background that blends technical, scientific, and human-centered work—from managing IT projects at Hennepin County to contributing to particle detector research at Fermilab.
Before transitioning into tech and project management, I worked as a certified personal trainer. That experience sharpened my leadership, communication, and goal-setting skills—qualities I now bring to every team I collaborate with. I’ve since applied those strengths in group software projects using Scrum, in IT support roles, and in driving process improvements across public sector initiatives.
I’m currently looking for entry-level roles in project coordination, research support, or technical operations, particularly in science- or technology-driven environments. I’m eager to contribute to innovative teams, grow professionally, and help bring complex ideas to life through clear communication and effective project execution.
